About Us

In 2006, Ingemetal Solar was launched as a spinoff of Ingemetal Group with a commercial proposal focused on the construction of solar fields for thermoelectric plants with the optimal balance between cost and performance.

Ten years later, the company has been involved in nine projects (executed in Israel, China, Kuwait, Morocco, India and Spain) for a total of 560 MW of CSP power installed, plus 100MW in contracted pipeline. Additional PV portfolio totals our +850 MW of solar trackrecord.

Ingemetal analyses its contribution to the project case by case, with maximum flexibility, aligning its interests with those of the client. We tell success stories.

Ingemetal Solar is committed to the success of thermoelectric solar technology, a clean technology with differential advantages over other renewable in terms of storage and dispatchability, as well as friendliness with the electrical network. This commitment is materialized in a constant R&D investment and in the preservation of its own productive resources, which allow it to offer to the market turnkey solutions for the solar fields, with associated performance guarantees.

Pioneer Profile

Grupo Ingemetal enters the CSP sector in 2005, with the awarding of the assembly and field assembly of the solar collectors for the first thermoelectric plant in Europe, Andasol 1. From this first moment, it puts its full resources and background to the service of this promising technology, specifically in relation with:

  • Calculus abilities, optimized design, manufacturing and construction of complex mobile steel structures worldwide.
  • Design, manufacture, assembly and calibration of production and assembly jigs, using its own equipment and resources operative in the aeronautical industry.
  • Underlying automotive inspiration in terms of production cycles requirements and validation and quality control integrated procedures.
  • The deficiencies shown by the traditional steel structures manufacturers to deal with optical requirements motivated the Group’s investment in its own production plant, for an adequate understanding of the product and the management of supply and suppliers.
